It has been a BUSY year !!!!!

Wow! Today marks a year of blog silence. Silence doesn't mean life was boring, silence means we were too busy to keep in touch! And so, to celebrate the end of the silence (we hope) here are a few fun pictures, in no particular order, of our busiest month this summer.

Bothering Grandpa. (He doesn't seem to mind too much)

The big international football game (soccer game).

Fun times at Buffalo grill, the French version of an American steak house.

Finally able to see all ten of our kids together in one place!!!

And both of my sisters in France!

Meet the Newlyweds

We hoped to surprise a few people by putting up the wedding pictures without too much information. It worked!! Of course, the wedding date was picked and the wedding prepared in short order, so it's not like we had lots of time to get everyone up to date!

So, now for a bit more info. Bill is Philip's dad, who was a widower after Sophie, his wife, went to heaven in 2008. He is 81 in case anyone is wondering! We are both hoping to be in as good of health as he is when WE are 80.

Stella went to Prairie Bible Institute at the same time as Bill did 60 years ago. Bill even proposed to Stella back then! But it was not to be. (Philip had to be born, or this blog would not even exist!) Stella was a missionary, lived in Quito, Ecuador part of her life and sang on the radio in Ukrainian.

They met again last year when Bill was in Canada, and decided they ought to get married. So they did! They probably set some kind of record! Getting married 60 years after proposing!

Grandparents on the Farm

The big highlight of our month of April was the visit of my dad, aka Grandpa, and his new wife, Grandma Judy. I traveled, along with Wesley and Laura, to the US for their wedding a year ago, but some of the family had not yet met Grandma Judy.
They spent three weeks here, helping out on the farm, doing odd jobs, touring Europe a bit (they braved going to London on their own), and spoiling us. We tried to spoil them too.
A taste of America in France!
Visiting Mons, Belgium
Indoor mini golfing in Belgium (yes, that is a beer stein, Belgium is famous for good beer!).
Belgium is also home to the French Fry!!! And you thought they were French!!!
Saxophones were invented in Belgium too.
Train ride home from Paris (think they look tired?) (I am looking for more Paris pictures)
Visiting Fort Leveau in Feignies
